But the point of that story is that this new Post-Axis Tony Stark is just superior to every other version of himself and same goes for the armors. This is honestly a really bad mismatch that doesn't even make sense from the get go.Mostly when all of the Iron-man armors team up to fight like Ultron drones or random robot army, they are introduced as fodders and they get wrecked by people who would get their ass kicked by only one of those Iron-man armors. And before she drained an EMMI, she was effectively disabled by a single power bomb. This means that literally her entire arsenal is effectively worthless against them without that boost. She cannot hard kill any of the EMMIs without using a temporary boost to her weapon that goes away after she destroys her target. Her ability to "drain" it doesn't actually destroy it, but rather it just disables it. And lest we forget, Samus is also mostly unable to fend off a single android throughout Dread. Tony in his weaker (arguably weakest) MCU incarnation is being savaged by Thanos, and his suit is still protecting him from getting his skull caved in as part of its standard defenses, even as it's being literally beaten off of him. In one depiction, Samus is defeated by a SPIKE TRAP that pierces her armor because she wasn't focused. He packs more firepower in one suit than even her gunship ever brings to bear (and we know its armed because of Metroid Prime 3 allowing us to call it in for limited airstrikes). ![]() In terms of range, his arsenal is bullshit levels of comprehensive. In terms of speed and agility, again, Ironman can effectively outrun and if necessary, outfly her. In the MCU alone, a planetoid gets dropped on his nanosuit it just scuffs the nano-paint and he quips about it (because of course someone quips in a comic book film). In terms of confirmed feats of strength, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, Samus does in any of her media even stands up to the likes of Stark on a bad day with one of his better suits. From our standpoint, that would also be "indistinguishable" from magic. ![]() And the bit about Metroid technology being "indistinguishable" from magic isn't much of a point in its favor, because technology in Marvel almost never makes sense and regularly breaks every single law of physics to even work. There are things in Marvel Space that make Metroids look like housepets, and that's not just to slander Metroids as a threat, you only need to actually take a serious look at the media being compared here to understand why anyone would say that. The Chozo would barely register next to Green Lanterns, much less the Nova Corps, the Shi'ar, the Kree, or the Skrulls. ![]() Marvel's space-bound civilizations make anything presented in Metroid look like a joke. The Guardians would be equally amused at the Metroid universe, because that's the difference between what Marvel has presented versus what Nintendo has presented.
